With major changes in workplace pensions due to begin to come into effect in 2012, a survey has found that many smaller employers seem unprepared for the new system. Carried out by the Association of Consulting Actuaries, the poll revealed that as many as two-thirds of small firms do not as yet offer their employees a pension scheme. In the next few years, all employers will be required to provide a retirement scheme for their workforce.
