Appeal to Voters
Rhondda Heritage Park has been chosen by the 'Rough Guide' author Mike Parker as one of the top 50 Valleys Essentials – i.e. unmissable attractions, eateries, events and scenic walks across The Valleys.
The 50 Valleys Essentials are not only essential things to see, do or taste, they are experiences that form the essence of the region. Mike said: “Fifty was a good number of sights to pick, for it gave me chance to highlight all of the many aspects that make The Valleys such a rewarding place to visit."
Rhondda Heritage Park are now appealing to the public to vote for them from Mike Parker’s Top 50 unranked list to determine the ultimate Top 10 Valleys Essentials.
Nicola Newhams of Rhondda Heritage Park said, “this is our opportunity to champion the Park ; help us make the top 10 by voting for us on www.thevalleys.co.uk”.
The final list will be revealed in March 2011 and a special plaque will be awarded to the Top 10 Valleys Essentials.
