Government Sickness Leave Review
The Government is to conduct a major review of the sick leave system, one outcome of which may be that employers do not have to carry a disproportionate burden of the costs of illness among staff. The UK economy is not out of the woods yet, according to a new business survey. The poll, carried out by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), revealed strong growth in the manufacturing sector but a still fragile performance from the services industry.
