There will be FREE parking at all Council car parks next week to promote and showcase Rhondda Cynon Taf’s diverse town centres.
From Monday, September 19, to Sunday, September 25, motorists will be able to park free-of-charge at all Council car parks across the County Borough after 10am each day.
Please note: Free car parking only applies at Council car parks AFTER 10am each day.
Cllr Robert Bevan, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Tourism and Planning, said:
“We have invested tens of millions of pounds in the regeneration of our town centres in recent years and continue to deliver improvements, in terms of highways, pavements and streetscapes as part of our three-year £200m RCT Invest programme.
“There is also innovative work continuing to regenerate empty and unused buildings in town centres, creating a balanced mix of retail, social and residential accommodation to create thriving communities in our town centres.
“Rhondda Cynon Taf has a great range of independent shops, boutiques, salons and hidden treasures offering a nice mix between high street names and independent shops and cafes that have been in families for generations.
“Town centres are also close to some of the beautiful open spaces of Rhondda Cynon Taf, so people can take advantage of free parking to enjoy what’s on offer in our town centres, enjoy a refreshment and bite to eat and then explore parks, heritage trails, museums and more.”
