Coming up to Christmas and I have to break my daughter’s heart...

I walked through Ynysangharad War Memorial Park today and noticed signs saying that the playground will be closed until next summer, so now I have to tell my two daughters 4 and 6 that they can’t go to the playground they love (they even make me take them in the rain).

So I am all for development if its done in the right way for the right reason, but how will my daughters feel about the playground being ripped out of park until next summer and no temporary replacement.

This isn’t a rant at the council but as someone that uses this facility a couple of times a week it’s a facility thats going to be missed greatly.

First we use the crazy golf and in return get a yellow then grey fence.

Then we lose the paddling pool which  my daughters used but it makes sense to create a larger space that will be used 12 months of the year and be cheaper to run.

Now we lose the playground for now.

Surely it would have made sense to finish the road bridge then get the land back from the contractors then make a temporary facility if the playground is going to to closed until next summer.
Why will it take so long to build a play ground, this is a facility for children surely they can do better
