Some people start their Christmas shopping in the January sales and some leave it right up until Christmas eve! Or like me, do bit by bit throughout the year. Whichever shopper type you are there’s still lots of things you can pick up from Pontypridd town and around Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Lots of shops are open slightly later than usual, and with the Christmas lights around the town it feels all that more festive choosing gifts for family and friends.
Here's a few great shops where you will definitely find something for everyone!
Jewellery for the girlfriend - D & M Davies Jewellers. Treorchy
Clothes for the boyfriend - Area 37. Pontypridd
Flowers / Candles for Mam - Flowers by Joy. Aberdare
Clothes / Toys for the babies - Sugar 'n' Spice. Treorchy
If you fancy taking a break from carrying around all the presents then why not stop off at KT’s Fish & Chips where you can enjoy one of their delicious breakfasts that are served right up to 4pm. Or if you’re with the family try the family sized breakfast! There's also the traditional fish and chips with a lovely cup of tea to warm you up.
Or, if you’re up near the Rhondda way then Dylan’s cafe Bar is a fab place to go! They have a great lunch time offer on where you can have 2 meals for just £9.95. Just the thing you need after a morning of Christmas shopping.
Don’t forget that Santa is in his grotto at Ynysangharad park right up until Christmas eve, so if the little ones haven’t sent off their letter to Santa yet then they can let him know exactly what they want when they visit.
