The world is a turbulent place, and the stresses of the 21st century are many and varied. The solution? According to the organisers of the Sonic Bloom UK Festival, which opens in Peterborough in September, the solution is music and freedom!

Sonic Bloom UK opens its doors to Peterborough festival goers on Saturday September 28th for an affordable, fun-filled weekend of music for all the family. The event has been conceived as a way of reminding people that they don't have to resign themselves to the doom and gloom of a recession-struck Britain, but can be out having a weekend of fun without breaking the bank!

Acts performing at Sonic Bloom UK include Gareth Icke (whose dad is Steven Tyler of Aerosmith), Black Russian Roulette, Nightworkers, Tiger Lilly and many more. There are also guest DJs, speakers, artists, magicians, fairground rides and pony rides for the children.

Tickets are on sale now at £12 per ticket, with a £1 cumulative discount for every ticket bought. That is to say, that if two tickets are bought together, each ticket is just £11, while if you buy 4 tickets, a weekend of music and fun will cost just £36. Children under the age of 12 can enter for free.

Camping for the weekend is free of charge, and campers are permitted to enter the site from 6pm on Friday 27th September. There is a free pre-party for campers on the Friday night.
