Peterborough Embankment is preparing to welcome the 36th CAMRA Peterborough Beer Festival from Tuesday 20th August until Saturday 24th August 2013.

The festival, which brings a wide range of beers, ales and ciders from around the country to the lips of Peterborough beer drinkers, is in its 36th year, making it one of the most successful and long-running festivals in Peterborough's calendar.

Prices range from £1 on the door tickets for an afternoon session, to £5 for the Friday and Saturday evening sessions. There are concessions for CAMRA and EBCU members, and a trade-only afternoon from 3.30 on Tuesday 20th for two hours.

Abbeydale of Sheffield, Adnams of Southwold, Beerd of Bristol, Beowulf of Birmingham, Blue Monkey of Guiltbrook, Coastal of Redruth, Harbour of Bodmin, Marble of Manchester, Portobello of London and Titanic of Stoke-on-Trent are just some of the (best-sounding) draught beers on offer across the week. There will also be a vast supply of bottled beers from all over the globe.

For the more partisan amongst you there are also a selection of interesting beers from in and around Peterborough including Oakham, Oldershaw of Grantham, Bexar of Turves, Newby Wyke of Grantham and Nene Valley beer of Oundle. If you're a cider drinker, you might want to try a pint of Peterborough's own Hubz's cider, or try another from around the country.

It is certain to be a brilliant event. We will almost certainly be there!
