Northampton's Grosvenor Shopping Centre looks like it will get it's long awaited redevelopment.
Legal & General the giant Insurer has committed to the development scheme and is now in discussions with Northampton Borough Council. A huge amount of work still needs to be done even before a planning application could be submitted.
Perhaps we should now lobby our Council so the people of Northampton have a say in the development plans.
What shops or services would the Northampton people like to have in their Town. Any ideas? John Lewis? The Town has already missed out on some big names coming to Northampton.
Many people believe the Town Centre has become a showcase for charity shops and cheap retail outlets. This does nothing to attract new and regular visitors to the Town Centre.
We do appear to have a number of really good restaurants and bars, and good shops will only encourage more businesses and people to the Town Centre.
Thebestof Northampton would like your views, we help promote some of the best busineeses in Northampton, and we feel it is crucial that we encourage some new retail names to our shopping centre.
