The art of juggling in the school holidays

The summer holidays can be a fab time for mothers and children - the bonding, the sunshine, the adventure, the crafts, the lazy days, the downtime (no idea what that is!) sea and sand and all the rest of the rosy coloured spectacle stuff. In truth for many it's finding creches, babysitters, good friends and if you are lucky family to help out. Racing at breakneck speed to appointments and then back to children, at which point you find yourself too exhausted to do the adventure; build the summer camps, chase insects, make-up stories. You are not fun or interesting and your imagination cannot take off let alone fly! And where has the sunshine been - something the politicians made up early in the year to keep us all in Britain. There are however some great days out on the weekend and Newark as a town is great at events and family day outs; The Carnival, the Food Markets, Newark Showground shows and The Heroes Festival. We have Southwell Racecourse, and Clumber Park and many of bestofnewark clients cater for children; Jolly Jungle, White Post Farm, The Full Moon are just a few.

Sometimes however you just have to throw those balls in the air and just see where they land! Any tips are more than welcome
