Went to the Retail Awards last night.
This prestigious event recognising successful retailers within the Newark & Sherwood District took place in the Dome at Kelham Hall, Newark.
The Newark Advertiser put on a great evening - the theme was pink on black and two huge shopping bags flanked the stage.
Denis Taylor was the guest speaker and he was a composite showman and very funny to boot.
The overall winner, Retailer of the Year 2008, was an emotional and very happy Ann of Ann et Vin.
It was a fabulous evening and finalists included a number of The Best of Newark members such as Strays, Partytime, Flowertime, Yo Yo's and Buttermarket retailers.
