Technical Systems Engineer

This is initially a three month interim contract with the possibility of an extension to perm. The role will include a large element of research and data mining and requires the completion of business critical technical compliance sheets. You will be liaising between component manufacturers, internal project teams, overseas authorities and customers. In order to be considered for this role you will need;

• Data base skills including set up and technical reporting.

• BOM specification experience

• Experience of building relationships with project engineers and various management teams both internally and externally

• You must have Advanced Excel, Access, Intranet and SharePoint skills

• Good electrical/electronic knowledge essential • Materials/plastics knowledge is also desirable • Compliance knowledge of Reach/ROHS/WEEE helpful but not essential

• The successful candidate will hold a degree in an engineering subject or equivalent

Health & Safety Administrator Temporary Administrator (6 months) Purpose: The role of this administrator is to provide administrative support to the Health & Safety Manager, including writing up of Standard Operating Procedures

Key Accountabilities: 1) Supporting the Health and Safety Manager with administration duties 2) Liaising with Factory Co-ordinators regarding writing and maintaining St...andard Operating Procedures 3) Assist in Risk Assessments 4) Type up reports, and all actions from accidents on site 5) Assist Health & Safety Manager with the completion of the training matrix 6) Carryout completion of training paper work and file, ensuring all employee training records are kept up to date 7) Based at Newark – you may from time to time be asked to visit other sites when required

The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels and be capable of maintaining professional communication with drivers, operatives, suppliers, contractors and customers outside the business You will be expected to maintain effective dialogue with functional support areas such as HR, Health & Safety, Environmental, Laboratory and Administration. NVQ Level 3 in business admin and intermediate Word and Excel skills are essential for this role as is two years experience in a similar role. IOSH certificate and a full clean LGV licence are required. NEBOSH – helpful but not essential.

Engineering Administrator Factory environment You will be providing hands on and administration support to the Engineering Manager and engineering team. Ordering and mainitaining a stock base as well as writing engineering schedules and related paperwork. Your time will be split between the factory and the office.

Key Accountabilities: 1) To provide administration... support to the Engineering Manager and team, providing reports, letters,... spread sheets. 2) To purchase ...electrical and mechanical parts for the team. 3) Manage the Pirana (Maintenance) System and parts catalogue 4) Write PPM’s and schedule in engineering tasks. 5) Understand oil analysis reports and schedule in lubrication changes, managing the onsite lubrication schedule. 6) Ensure all engineering paperwork is maintained, kept up to date, filed and audit ready. 7) Ensure COSHH data sheets are present and controls are in place, including liaison with Company Health & Safety Manager. 8) Be able to understand and issue Work Permits for contractors and staff for engineering activities. 9) Manage the day to day allocation of spares and re-ordering.

Person specification: This role would suit an electrical/mechanical engineer with stores experience. Intermediate Word and Excel are essential as is IOSH. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate over five years administration experience. HNC and NEBOSH helpful but not essential, as is previous experience in an processing or chemical plant.
