The College is looking for those with experience in business, community or social work with charities, financial or legal practice and ideally some Board or trustee experience. They are particularly keen to hear from those with a personal or professional link to Newark. Margaret Serna, Chair of the Board said, “I was exposed to the College’s innovative, challenging approach to delivering the best learning opportunities for all through my business interactions. The College had a strong reputation for working in partnership with the local communities it served and this philosophy and approach chimed with my own value set. The Board is deeply committed to the continued growth and development of the College. There are many facets to life in College: from a conversation with an individual learner or staff member to consideration of a £7 million development project, but all contribute to a richly rewarding experience. The results of our contributions and endeavours as a member of the Board are very visible”. There will be an informal discussion with current governors and the College Management Team at Lincoln College on 27 November, 5.30 – 7.00.
