Has anyone seen Modern family on Sky? It's a 'mockumentary' in the style of The Office and its painfully funny, in a bitter-sweet kind of way. I laughed and cringed in equal measures as I recognised so many elements of my own family life!
And talking of modern families, I have fond, enduring memories from my childhood of my family gathered around our kitchen table, enjoying good-natured banter and laughter. So it was great to see the family around our kitchen table this morning. Except that the good-natured banter had been replaced by the incessant clicking of keyboards. Me, updating latest businesses to join The Best of Newark, Richard doing his annual budgets and Nats on a computer was 'waddling' around in a virtual antarctic world called Club Penguin (I have no idea what she does there and should probably check it out!). The whole scene looked more like an Internet cafe than a family breakfast table!
I guess that's progress...
Good job we have Nic from Scobi IT in Newark to repair our computers and look after our systems.
