There are lots of family activities and events this Half Term in Newark - here are some of our suggestions:

  • Southwell Minster Festival of Food and Drink: This weekend October 22nd, 10 am - 4 pm. WI Apple Day Stalls at the Admiral Rodney: 10 am - 3 pm. Bramley Apple Day, The Workhouse, Southwell : 12 - 4 pm. Bramley Apple Race Day, Southwell Racecourse: Gates open 12.20 pm. The Minster School Ceilidh Band: playing at three locations. Lord Conyers Morris Men: performing at various locations. The Core at the Bramley Centre: games and competitions for all ages.
  • Forget Me Not Sleepwalk - A one mile sponsored walk at night in the dark and your pyjamas! Not only will you get a chance to walk with "Sunshine" Beaumond House's new mascot for the first time, but thanks to Shooting Star Parties, there will be fun and games before the walk and a special "Bed-time Story" performance after the completion of the Sleepwalk. Many other activities and demonstrations by local groups will ensure everyone has fun whilst at the Sleepwalk
  • Wear your spookiest costume and join Belton House for their Halloween Family Fun Trail (plus Pumpkin Trail for tinies). Masks & Crafts in the Discovery Centre. Fearsome Face Painting (£3). Spooky Stories in the Stables. Frightening Food in the Restaurant. 22nd Saturday and 23 Sunday of October, 29th Saturday and 30th Sunday of October, 11am -4pm
  • Newark Festive Food, Craft & Gift Show. Like Lapland bought to life, the event is a buzz of festive spirit and glow. The Festive Craft and Gift Shows are the Best place to buy unusual and affordable Christmas gifts for all your loved ones.
  • Halloween Eeerie Evenings - 3 night of fun at The White Post Farm Farnsfield 28th -30th
  • Spooky Halloween Walk by Torchlight in the Dark Forest (Sherwood Forest) 29th Oct
  • Halloween Ghost Tour of Newark Castle on the 30th
  • Bonfire Night at The Rugby Club - boasts best displays in the area. Gates Open at 6-00 pm
    Bonfire lit at 7-00 pm, Firework Display from 7-15 pm, Bar & Refreshments - Fair Ground and Stalls. 15 pounds per Car or 5 pounds per person (walking)
