Last week my friend, David Parton of David Parton Associates, presented Adopt-A-Road programme to the Newark Business Club at The Atrium. This is an environmental issue that David feels passionate about and he has already had a lot of support and feedback following his presentation just over a week ago.
The Adopt-A- Road programme is a means for organizations, non-profit groups, businesses and/or individuals to help their community by cleaning a 1-mile segment of a secondary roadway at least 4 times per year. This is an inexpensive way for us to support the government's anti-litter efforts and gain tremendous satisfaction in making a contribution to our community and beautiful countryside. An Adopt-A-Road sign can be ordered to give recognition and positive publicity to the adopting organization.
