Weddings at The Shire Hall are unique occasions. Their elegant, Georgian rooms provide a stunning setting for that very special day. Photographers are inspired by the wide sweeping staircases and beautiful natural light. They have 3 rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies, including Courtroom 1 where the Mother -in -Law can be photographed in the original High Court Judge’s chair!
They don’t operate a “one size fits all” approach and won’t tie you to restrictive packages but they will help you make the day your own, whether you’re looking for a small and intimate affair or something more lavish and elaborate. They are happy for you to just hold the ceremony at The Shire Hall or book the building exclusively for your reception too. They have a PA system if you want to bring your own music and they have one room which would suit a live band.
They can help with approved suppliers who they trust to make your day go without a hitch but if you already have caterers in mind their bespoke kitchen can be used by your chosen caterer. They can also provide a bar, licensed until 12.00am.
