This will be an arduous and sometime long drawn out roll.

All applicants must be reliable and not afraid of long hours which this could mean. Training will be to a high standard. All will be trained in first aid, navigation, radio VHF and amateur radio. Boat handling will also be a big part of your training. Hiking across open country, in the mountains and sea shore. You will also be taught how to search and rescue from mud banks.

Annual membership of the national organization is £40 a year, plus a one-off initial joining fee of £5. in addition there will be a monthly Wye Valley Unit charge per month to help maintain our equipment.
