The Indie Christmas campaign is designed to encourage you to shop in local shops and spend more of your money here. Fact- for every £1 spent in the local community around 50-70 pence stays in the local community as opposed to spending with national retailers where less than 10p in the pound stays in Monmouth. Indie Christmas is also about having fun! Children can collect stickers for their tree as they visit the shops in town, when they have got their ten baubles they will receive a certificate. Adults who take part in the Christmas challenge will be entered into a prize draw.

Any independent retailer or business in Monmouth can take part. It is free to enter and you will be given all the materials you need to make the campaign a success including on-going support. We will be visiting shops over the coming weeks to tell you more about the campaign but if you would like to join in all we need is your commitment!  You can email us at indiechristmasmonmouth@gmail.com or message us through face book www.facebook.com/bestofmonmouth or leave a comment here.

It would be wonderful if lots of businesses took this opportunity to put Monmouth High Street  on the map as a top destination for Christmas shopping from food and drink for the table,  decorations, presents for family and friends in fact everything you need for Christmas could well be in the High Street!

The campaign runs until Christmas Eve and begins on 16th November.
