Vault & Vine stands out before you even sit down. Housed in a former National Westminster Bank on St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough, the restaurant makes clever use of the building’s original features, creating a space that feels elegant, relaxed, and a little different from the norm. It’s the kind of venue that works just as well for a casual lunch as it does for a special evening out.
The menu at Vault & Vine brings together popular Italian favourites and more authentic regional dishes, prepared by Italian chefs who understand the value of simplicity done well. Pasta, meat, and seafood dishes sit alongside lighter options, giving diners plenty of choice without overwhelming the table. The focus is on flavour, balance, and food that feels comforting yet considered.
Flexibility is part of the appeal here. Vault & Vine offers a takeaway service for those nights when eating at home wins, while the restaurant itself suits everything from midweek meals to celebrations. At the rear of the building, the newly created Olive Garden provides an outdoor seating area, perfect for al fresco dining in summer months or as the weather improves.
The bar adds another layer to the experience, making Vault & Vine a place to enjoy a drink even if you’re not sitting down for a full meal. Wine and cocktails complement the menu nicely, and the atmosphere encourages you to slow down and enjoy your time there.
Visited vault and vine this week for lunch and will definitely be back! The restoration of this building is gorgeous, love that they've kept so many of the original features. On arrival l was seated quickly, loads of choice on the menu but I went for the vault special, great dish that was beautifully presented. Service was fab and everything came super fast, I really couldn't fault them. Booked in again for dinner with friends this weekend as I enjoyed the food so much!
