Called for lunch today with my son and two granddaughters, 2 and 3 years, toys were provided for them to play with. Sat in the bar as it was not too busy, the girls enjoyed their pasta and bread and were delighted when ice cream turned up after. My wife, son and I had Brie and cranberry ciabattas, mine with bacon as well lovely meal in a very nice pub. Good range of cask and keg beers. Well worth a visit a pity I have drive to get there or I’d visit a lot.

Went to their Village Fayre last weekend for the first time. Excellent afternoon. They had some craft stalls, where i bought a very useful hand made bag, they had food stalls and an outside bar aswell as inside, there was a BBQ and games, face painting. Morris Dancers, a singer and a band and more. Good turn out for them, they obviously put a lot of effort into making it a fun event. Will go again.

We had tapas last night in the Fox made by Chris Hand. It was absolutely delicious and I can't rate it high enough. We shared a desert which was also delicious.

Had lunch here today. Fish and chips and quiche. The food was excellent. The fish and chips were easily the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly cooked.

Drove past this pub during the week while working and thought it looked lovely from the outside. Called up on a Sunday morning and booked a table for the roast dinner. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was nice. Beautifully decorated inside and outside with a nice warm feeling to it. The roast dinner was amazing and the best one I’ve had in a long time, lovely home cooked food with generous portions and great price. The cauliflower cheese had such a great flavour too it. Can’t wait to come back again and try out more of the menu too. Dog friendly as an added bonus. You could tell the pub and food is really cared about, with heart in it.

I had a wonderful stay at The Fox Inn, Wilbarston! The food was absolutely excellent, and the accommodation was beautifully presented — clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to make me feel at home.

A special mention to the landlady, who went above and beyond: as I had to leave before breakfast, she kindly prepared a packed breakfast and left it outside my room — such a thoughtful touch that really made a difference.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, cosy accommodation, and truly outstanding hospitality!

Five of us went to The Fox for dinner last night. We sat in the beer garden and enjoyed the views of the village green. The service was quick and served by very cheerful staff. The land lady was a credit to the pub industry.
All five meals were excellent value for money. I would definitely eat there again.

After a long walk it was decided that dinner was needed. On the way through we stopped here for lunch. We got in not long after 12 and were greeted by the friendly landlady and staff who were more than happy to chat about our day.

We sat down at a table in the beautiful restaurant area and orders were taken.

Food arrived quickly and even though I initially thought a small portion wouldn't fill me up, it was enough. I had lasagna, chips and a side of onion rings. My mum had the giant Yorkshire pudding with sausages, peas and mash with LOTS of gravy. Both dinners were amazing and I had the chocolate cake for pudding.

Will certainly be returning again. 5 out of 5.

Nice little pub, just popped in whilst passing by on a Saturday. Their was live music on which was pretty good! It has a nice sized beer garden. I met the landlady whilst I was there who was lovely! She told me she had only been there a few months, and I must say she seems to be doing rather well! Pub was busy, good atmosphere, good beer and friendly service 👌

Cracking little village pub. The staff are super friendly, the beer’s spot on, and the whole place just has that proper English countryside vibe. The beer garden is a real highlight—loads of space, and perfect for a sunny afternoon pint. Feels like one of those hidden gems you stumble across and don’t want to leave.

5 stars for location because I live in the village (!), and delighted to say that Ann has made a huge difference. Warm welcome and a busy feel. Combined with well cooked, honest dishes it's a real pleasure to eat there - and sensible prices makes it an easy choice for a chilled evening with friends. Good pub menu, cooked with care and a personal service. It feels like a proper local again - long may it last!

A lovely village pub with history.
The owner has not been there long so some work is still on going. The rooms are very nice but in cooler weather I would suggest putting the heating on before guests arrive as it took an age to warm up, also the bathroom does require some form of heating as it was bitterly cold, not even leaving the door open, as suggested, made a difference. Other than those teething issues, I would stay again, the breakfast was included and was delicious.
