Attended a celebration birthday lunch for twenty one people in the restaurant. Really delicious Sunday roast......just like Mum makes. Cauliflower cheese best ever.....extras brought out. Couldn't ask for more.
Staff are friendly and welcoming...nothing is too much trouble ....went that extra mile to make the party 'special '.
Restaurant is bright cheerful and spotlessly clean. Very reasonably priced. Looking forward to next visit.

Perfect sunday roast. Food was cooked and presented lovely, home-cooked vibes. Love this pub for drinks too. Friendly staff and great location for after our walks. Small Sunday roast for £8.50 and was good portion so Id say value for your money. Highly recommended. Tim & Mala

Cracking little village pub. The staff are super friendly, the beer’s spot on, and the whole place just has that proper English countryside vibe. The beer garden is a real highlight—loads of space, and perfect for a sunny afternoon pint. Feels like one of those hidden gems you stumble across and don’t want to leave.

5 stars for location because I live in the village (!), and delighted to say that Ann has made a huge difference. Warm welcome and a busy feel. Combined with well cooked, honest dishes it's a real pleasure to eat there - and sensible prices makes it an easy choice for a chilled evening with friends. Good pub menu, cooked with care and a personal service. It feels like a proper local again - long may it last!

A lovely village pub with history.
The owner has not been there long so some work is still on going. The rooms are very nice but in cooler weather I would suggest putting the heating on before guests arrive as it took an age to warm up, also the bathroom does require some form of heating as it was bitterly cold, not even leaving the door open, as suggested, made a difference. Other than those teething issues, I would stay again, the breakfast was included and was delicious.

I'm reluctant to shout the praises of this place too much, in case it becomes overrun - but I love it! 🤩

A Warm Welcome Back to The Fox Inn, Wilbarston!

Revisiting a pub under new management can be a gamble—will it still have that old pub charm, or will it feel completely different? Well, I’m happy to report that The Fox Inn at Wilbarston is in very good hands!

From the moment we stepped through the door, the new landlady made us feel completely at home. She’s got that perfect mix of warmth and efficiency, making sure everyone feels welcome without being overbearing. The staff, too, were all smiles—friendly, chatty, and clearly happy to be there. It makes such a difference when the team genuinely seems to enjoy what they do!

Now, onto the food. We popped in for lunch, and honestly, the value was fantastic. Generous portions, well-cooked, and none of that ‘style over substance’ nonsense—you get proper, hearty food that tastes great and doesn’t break the bank. Exactly what you want from a good pub lunch!

The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with a mix of locals and visitors creating a nice buzz without it feeling too crowded. You can tell this place is fast becoming a hub of the village again, which is always a great sign.

Overall, it’s safe to say The Fox Inn is definitely worth a visit (or a revisit!). If you’re after good food, a friendly welcome, and a proper community pub feel, this is the spot. Looking forward to going back soon!

We have lived in Wilbarston for 14 years and seen a variety of publicans come and go, some missed more than others. Really pleased to welcome the new tenants who put on a terrific open day with live music and a lovely atmosphere. We had fish and chips lunch recently which was gorgeous, despite being as far from the sea as you could be in England! Nice choice of drinks and we intend to be regular customers, hope quiz nights may restart? Hope our village values and supports the new tenants
