THE BEST Chinese food I’ve ever eaten! Perfect portions , lots of small plates so great for sharing. I only took one picture of 2 plates but we ordered lots more , I was so excited to eat the food , it tasted delicious will definitely be back and I reccomend the prawn balls the most and the butterfly panko prawns in this photo! Lovely mocktail too!

I walked in with a friend on the off chance and we were seated by a friendly member of staff. We hadn’t tried pan Asian food before and asked the waitress for recommendations and they brought us the most delicious food. I highly recommend

The food was gorgeous, I wasn't sure what to pick for my tapas style choices, but decided on ribs, chicken bau bun, chips & curry sauce. All were perfectly cooked.
The service was always with you a smile and very efficient.

Couldn't recommend a better place to go for a birthday meal! The service is super friendly and really quick, the staff sang happy birthday to me which was lovely and the food was incredible, not to mention a great price. All my friends were really impressed and we can't wait to come back. Love it here!

Lovely, friendly attentive staff and really quick service. We had a big group for a birthday dinner and they really looked after us. They looked after the cake we brought in and created a wonderful experience for our birthday guest. Wonderful evening

Visiting the area on business for one night. This is exactly my kind of food. Casual dining with small plates, Asian style. Super, friendly service. Small, but good wine list-lovely Viognier. Plus cocktails which looked interesting.
Enjoyed Duck Bao, Chicken Satay,Pork Cheek, delicious prawn dumplingsin delicious hot spicy Szechuan sauce & very crispy seaweed for a crunch contrast.

Visiting a friend i had passed this a couple of times. Food was lovely , staff attentive without being overbearing . Polite helpful. Quiet but it was at the end of the lunch deal . Looking forward to going back .

The food here was amazing and such good value. Great to go with a few people so you can try as many things on the menu as you can. Food was all piping hot and super tasty, service great too - would recommend

Had lunch here yesterday tempted by the £5.90 lunchtime menu meals. The food is excellent, as is the service. A little quiet when we entered, but not by the time we left. It's a popular place for a midday Chinese meal. We added spicy prawn crackers and seaweed to our meal as well as a couple of drinks for a very reasonable £25.
This was our first visit to Taste Social but probably won't be the last. Thoroughly recommended.

Host didn't have our telephone booking.
Place was empty at the time and he reluctantly allowed us to stay. Only 4 adults and 1 child.
Very po-faced and couldn't even greet us with a smile.
Shame as it prevented a sizeable tip as the food was very good.
Draught beer too warm though.
Also ordered 4 desserts. One came ten minutes earlier than the rest.
We will try again and hopefully get a better reception 🙂

Visited for my mum's birthday, really great food, good choice of both food and drink. The waiters and waitresses were really friendly, I forgot the candles for a cake and they were kind enough to use some they had! Lovely atmosphere, very pretty inside. Only reservation would be that it was quite expensive, the total came to just over £30 per person but we did have 3 mocktails which were £5 each and ordered plenty of food, so I'll still give 5 stars :)

Whilst the food and the cocktails are great, the staff are often very overwhelmed and not attentive. We sat in the MIDDLE TABLE of the very small tapas restaurant on a Friday night for over 45 minutes and no one came to check in/ask if he wanted to order and were too busy trying to accommodate the vastly overcrowded tables to pay attention to us trying to flag them down. They forgot to give one of us a cocktail and it was left on the bar for almost 20 minutes.
Overall disappointing. A table of six should not be left to sit for 45 minutes without any staff checking in. Appalling. In the end we decided to leave than order more food because it took so long. Was also very busy and incredibly loud.
