Took a friend for a special birthday treat, we actually go a few times a year and always have the Han Banquet... Due to a food allergy, we have to modify this slightly but that is never a problem. Service is always fast and pleasant and the food has always been excellent... I've eaten similar banquet packages at other places and none are done as well as here. The dining area is beautifully furnished with a carpet that your feet really sink into... All very tasteful and perfect for intimate tables for two or lively parties of a dozen or more. Whatever type of evening you're looking for The Han will not disappoint.

A really good lunch with generous portions, friendly service and reasonable prices [under £10 for 2 courses].
Also they are willing to substute meat for tofu making it a really good choice for veggies. Judging by the competition available for lunches in Market Harborough, I am surprised that they are not rushed off their feet!, but rather steep stairs might put off the less abled.

Visited for wedding anniversary dinner 16th September. Not been to this restaurant before. We chose the Han buffet for 2 people. Mixed starter, crispy duck, 3 main courses and a pudding. Just over £23 each. The food was wonderful and the service prompt and efficient. The restaurant is very well furnished ànd well laid out. Will definitely be eating here again.

I would say this is the best Chinese Restaurant in Leicestershire, I have been here many times and will keep doing so, they have a great selection of food on their menu and it is fantastic.

Very friendly, helpful staff and a very good atmosphere. It is upstairs in the building, not sure if it had a lift of the disabled.

The food was of good quality, well presented and a must for chinese food lovers

This is the second time I have visited. The menu is varied with all the usual offerings. The quality of food is above average - we opted for Peking Duck, followed by pork Kung po and chicken in blackbean sauce. The wine list is good and very reasonable. The house wine is fine too.

I have used the Han many times before as a couple, this time we had a medium sized group and it was quite late on Sunday evening a quick call to the Han was made and we were informed they would happily accomodate us.
We arrived shortly after and it was obvious they had worked hard in the short time to rearrange the tables which were perfectly laid out. Orders were taen very quickley by extremely poilte staff, they were not just efficient but engaged with us all and helped create a relaxed and humourous atmosphere. The food arrived in short time, which was very impressive as it was one of those occasions were it seemed everyone chose something different. As always the food was of a very high standard and for me the Han remains as one of the top restaurants in the town.

It is mild version of Chinese cooking so everybody will take that easy..., place can surprise you by amount but not by taste!

I have visited many times with my family. It may not be the cheapest Chinese but is definitely the best! People expect to get good food cheap & its not always the case! The staff are always attentive & make u feel welcome. The food is always to a good standard & the portions are more than adequate. I would recommend for a good meal

When I want an excellent Chinese meal it is the pick of the bunch in Market Harborough. In fact for many miles around. Never been disappointed. Service has always been great. Not the cheapest - but the best.

Visited with another couple. While not the cheapest of restaurants you do get what you pay for and having gone for the Ming banquet we felt the bill was reasonable at £114 including a bottle of wine and pre dinner drinks. We have been visiting Han for the last 15 years, and my only adverse feedback on this trip was the food was served a little quicker than normal. However this would not stop us from recommending or visiting again for our wedding anniversary in May

We were working in the area and stumbled on this restaurant through our sat nav and what a find it was. The food was superb, the staff friendly and attentive. We would definitely return to sample again, just a shame we don't live closer.

this is possibly the best Chinese food I have ever had. all the ingredients taste fresh and individual not all the 'same'.
the staff are very friendly with Clarence being particularly fun.The range of food available is excellent, and affordable if you choose to go early and catch the special early deals.....
We were there for both Valentines and the Chinese New Year both were very good. the entertainment for the New Year was Dragon Dancing which was a real treat.

My wife and I have been to Han's about a two or three times a year for the last twenty years or so, usually for family celebrations. It never disappoints. On our recent visit, it lived up to our high expectations. The food is of excellent quality and reasonably priced and the owner is very friendly. The only problem was that the party on the adjoining table was very noisy but in all fairness the owner did his level best to quieten them down. This was a one-off incident (shame it had to be on my birthday) and it will not deter us from going again. Give it a try : I am sure you will not be disappointed.

We didn't eat in the restaurant, we had a takeaway and we found the food to be absolutely delicious. And there were slices of carrot shaped like butterflies, what more could you want?
We had loads of egg fried rice and plain noodles, barbecued spare ribs, sweet and sour pork, sweet and sour prawns, beef with spring onions, beef with green peppers and black bean sauce, vegetable delicious (yes, it was) and Chinese mushrooms with seasonal vegetables. We hadn't ever had food from here before and had no idea how generous the portions would be and therefore ordered more rather than less. The portions are generous and they didn't stint on any of the ingredients, no tons of green pepper and pineapple to plump out the dishes. And the sweet and sour sauce wasn't the normal gloop but obviously homemade and absolutely lovely.
Initially the price was a bit of a shock (£75) but we decided after we had eaten that it was totally worth it.
We have finally found a good quality Chinese restaurant outside of London and although, sadly, we don't live locally and were taking the dinner to my in-laws, we will be back as often as we can.
There was no criticism of any of the food from any of us, superb cooking. Tender meat, crunchy vegetables, tasty sauces. Yum.
So pleased to read the restaurant's feisty response to that review "Not the best", well done, Han!

We've eaten at Hans for family meals and celebrations for fifteen or so years now. Not frequent visits (once or twice a year) but it's a restaurant that is pretty high up the list of local restaurants for us.
The food is tasty, well-presented and the staff reliable, friendly and helpful. We went around Chinese New Year and the atmosphere was good with decorations adding to the ambience. The price is slightly higher than other restaurants in the area but we know that before we go and order to suit. I'd certainly recommend it to people who like Chinese food (especially the crispy duck) and we'll certainly be back, for a birthday celebration or other special event. It's popular with all ages and tastes - in our family anyway.

Last Saturday we wanted to celebrate the Chinese New Year at this restaurant. We chose the Han Banquet and the staff recommended the Red Wine.

Booked at short notice, very accommodating. Found all the staff to be very happy to serve us & friendly. Found the food to be served promptly even though they where very busy & to be of an excellent standard. Will definitely return, quality of food has ruined our Chinese takeaways! Great find!

We ordered a Chinese takeaway whilst holidaying in a nearby village. I must say, after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, I had very high expectations of Han's. However, I must say the real experience just didn't live up to it.
We ordered: Prawn crackers, sweet & sour chicken, a portion of chips, egg fried rice and garlic & chilli chicken. This came to £25 (including the 15% pay-by-cash discount). The prawn crackers, admittedly, were very good, however, everything else was just 'ok'. Nothing was greasy, it was just a bit bland. A bit too average for £25.
The member of staff who greeted us was very lovely and welcoming and we were waiting for no longer than 10 minutes for our food (on a Friday evening), which we were very impressed by. However, I certainly would think twice about spending that amount of money on a Chinese takeaway from here again.

We have been going to the Han for 15 years and always take our children when there is an excuse for a celebration. The duck never fails to please and we always enjoy a good value night out.

Great food, great service, great ambience - we've had several meals there, always top quality. Our friends from the other side of Leicester agree that Han's is the best Chinese meal in Leics..what more can we say!
