Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has added three recruits to its growing mortgage team, which also has a new senior management.

Buoyed by a busy pipeline of mortgage applications and with more to come from ambitious growth targets and money from the Bank of England’s Funding for Lending scheme, the Society is growing the mortgage team at its Hinckley head office.

Julie Chapman is the team’s new leader as mortgage operations manager. Newly promoted alongside Julie is Kate Welland, the assistant mortgage operations manager.

Also promoted are Nicola Butterworth, Sarah Johnson and Charlotte Bird, all now mortgage team leaders.

The three new arrivals are Rebecca Hodgson, Sammie Jones and Hannah Cartern – all as mortgage services assistants.

Chief executive Chris White said: “We are building on successive years of growth with a target for 2013 which will see lending rise by more than a third. To do this, and to maintain our renowned and treasured outstanding levels of customer service, we need a bigger team.

“So we’ve added new faces and promoted talented and experienced team members to be ready and able to provide customers and introducers with an unrivalled service.”

Hinckley & Rugby increased its mortgage lending by more than 14 per cent in 2012 and has set an ambitious target of a further 36 per cent rise in 2013.
