Put Your Unused Pills & Medicines To Good Use

Lutterworth and Wycliffe Rotary are pleased to report that a third large box of prescribed, but unused, pills and medicines have been dispatched to InterCare in Syston for onward transportation to Africa (Sierra Leone, Ghana, Cameroon, Zambia, Tanzania and Malawi).

The availability and cost of medicines are prohibitive in poor countries where the need is considerable.

Since the launch of our appeal in May we have exceeded our initial aspirations and would like to thank the people of Lutterworth and their friends for their support.
It is good that we have all taken on board that use should be made of the £1,200,000 (10,000 tonnes) of pills incinerated each year.

Providing the medicines have a shelf life of more than 15 months would you please continue to bring them to The Wycliffe Medical Practice in Gilmorton Road - Lutterworth who are acting as the collecting point - locally - for InterCare.
