Students at Lutterworth College were celebrating some excellent A level results today.

Students at Lutterworth College were celebrating some excellent A level results today.

There was an increase in the number of students gaining the top grades:

  • 46% of all results were B grades and above – an increase of 3% from last year.
  • 72% of all results were C grades and above – an increase of 6% from last year.

Executive Principal of Lutterworth College, Andrew Cooper, commented:

“These are the best ever A level results in the history of Lutterworth College. The College is going from strength to strength. I’m so proud of our students; they deserve every success in the future.”

“Success is down to the fact that Lutterworth College offers a wide range of subjects and activities that appeal to students’ interests and ambitions. Students are given good quality support, advice and guidance by dedicated staff who have a long track record in delivering A level and applied courses.”

 

Further information

Many subjects achieved particularly strong results:

  • 87% of all results were B grades and above in Further Mathematics
  • 73% of all results were C grades and above in Mathematics
  • 100% of all results were C grades and above in RE and IT
  • 85%+ of all results were C grades and above in the Extended Project Qualification, Politics & Economics
  • 80%+ of all results were C grades and above in History, Drama, Media & Psychology
  • 50%+ of all results were B grades and above in DT Food & Physics

Star students

  • Michael Jennings achieved top grades in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Economics and is going to study Medicine at Oxford
  • Megan Woolley achieved top grades in History, English Lit & Politics and is going to study History at Oxford
  • Jack Sharman gained an Apprenticeship as a Golf Pro in America
