Hinckley & Rugby Building Society’s financial controller Spencer Costley is in training for a double swimming challenge to raise money for a cancer charity.

Spencer is tackling two swimathons in two days as part of a wider fundraising campaign by family and friends of five year old Nancy Harvey-Noble from Coventry.

Nancy is a friend of Spencer’s daughter and a group of family and friends are taking on charity challenges all year. All the money raised by ‘Team Nancy’ is going to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. So far more than £5,500 has been donated.

Spencer is taking part in two swimathons – each of 5,000 metres – on April 27 and 28 in Coventry.

Spencer said: “The way Nancy’s family and friends have rallied to raise money and awareness is truly inspiring. My swims are just one of a whole host of activities which people can get behind to show their support for Nancy.”

Team Nancy’s fundraising is here and donations in support of Spencer can be tagged ‘Spencer’s Swim’
