Lutterworth Rotary held their second Ferret Racing event in aid of three charities – RABI (50%) Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, Practical Action (25%), and Cardiovascular Research (25%).

The Ferrets were trained and provided by Hawkwise Falconry.
Although the number of people attending were less than last year (approx 180) on a cool but dry evening in excess of £2,000 was taken. Our professional auctioneer for the evening was Mike Carter who rallied those there to part with their money.

Our Tote was run by Rotarians Ruth Tallis and Sue Ensor and their team – the tombola being run by Jill Tallis, Doreen Haynes and Rose Chapman who raised in excess of £250 Rotarian David Walton kindly donated the use of his barn which added greatly to our takings as did our generous sponsors who again supported the event.

Special thanks must go to our joint organisers Bernard Johnson and Graham Johnson ably assisted by John Wilson who ran last years event.

All in all a most enjoyable evening enjoyed by all.
