St Mary’s Church Lutterworth will be the venue for ‘The Best of British’ on Saturday 17th March at 7.30pm.
The ‘Best of British’ is a collaboration between The Wycliffe Drama Group and Lutterworth Town Band and will feature the Best of British Music, Poetry, Prose and Drama.
Included will be a celebration of Charles Dickens, some of the nations favourite poems, extracts from Shakespeare, music as diverse as The Beatles, Lionel Bart and Lloyd Webber, and the evening will culminate with Lutterworth Town Band leading the audience in a ‘Last Night of the Proms’.
Tickets are £8 which will include a glass of wine or soft drink in the interval – and a Union flag to wave. They are available from Aspect Stationers, The Town Council offices or the church office.
Richard Hill from Wycliffe Drama, who is directing the evening promises that it promises to be a night to remember.
Money raised will go to the Mayor’s Appeal.
