Lutterworth Athletic take a giant step into the unknown has they enter the first round proper of the FA Vase against Oadby Town, from the East Midlands League, on Saturday 22nd October at Hall Park – 3pm KO.

The club has come a long way in a short time and with our move to Hall Park we will have everything in place for the club to keep moving forward.

Saturday is about the players and the coaches who have worked hard and deserve to be plying their trade against a team full of quality. It’s a cup game and we have nothing to lose - the pressure is all on Oadby who will be favourites to go through.

Athletic go into the game on the back of a less than convincing 3 – 1 defeat of Saffron Dynamo with goals from Billy Hayes, Jack Sutherland and Matt Rains.

Athletic reserves were looking at defeat with minutes to go, until new signing Alex Broadbent scored twice in a minute to secure three points against previously unbeaten Holwell Sports.

Lutterworth Ladies moved towards the quarter finals of the league cup with convincing 2 – 0 defeat of Shepshed Dynamo, and the midweek under 18s youth side continued their good form defeating Saffron Dynamo 3 – 0.
