Assault in Broughton Astley Co-op Store

On Tuesday August 13, 2013, between 15:20 hrs and 15:30 hrs at the Co-op Store, Main Street, Broughton Astley, a male suffered significant injuries after being punched and kicked in an assault by another man at the location.

The suspect is described as a white male aged 45 to 50-years-old of slim build, approximately 5'10" tall with black cropped hair and a black beard. He was wearing: a distinctive red and brown striped woolly hat which had tabs over the ears; and a black bomber jacket; tee shirt; black trousers; and wellington boots.

The suspect is believed to have moved to the area recently and is known to frequent local pubs and shops.

Police are appealing to any witnesses to this incident or to anyone who can assist in the identification of this unknown man to come forward. A photograph of the suspect is shown.
