Summer Holidays Days Out with the Children in Lowestoft

With the prospect of the summer holidays looming, lots of us are thinking about activities to keep the children amused.

Fingers crossed we are in for a heat wave as soon as they break up from school, then we can make the most of the great outdoor activities, Lowestoft has to offer.

It could be a day at the beach, taking a picnic and making this a great Free day out. If you don't fancy the picnic, why not drop into Nemos Fish Restaurant and Tea rooms.

Or how about a spot of crabbing either in Lowestoft or in Oulton Broad. If you do choose to visit Oulton Broad you could also visit Pets Corner and see the Monkies, parrots, meercats and ponies. Just up the road is Carlton Marshes offering lots of events and courses throughout the summer holidays.

Enjoy the thrills and attractions of Pleasurewood Hills, have a leisurely day out at Somerleyton Hall or get close to the animals at Africa Alive.

If you and the children enjoy tennis, Lowestoft offers tennis courts for hire at Normanston Park and Denes Oval.

Whatever outdoor activities you decide to do in Lowestoft, keep safe and don't forget the sun cream.
