There's a rumour going round, started by the current Mrs. C, saying that I'm venturing into the garage at Easter to perform a much needed clear out!
Having seen the state of our garage I'm thinking it could take longer than the Easter weekend to make any real headway...
But whatever does make it onto the 'chuck' pile I will be recycling it or, more to the point, the good folk at the Lowestoft Household Waste Recycling Centre will be recycling it.
In November 2011 the Lowestoft Household Waste Recycling Centre recycled a whopping 77% of all waste brought through their doors. To my mind that's pretty good going. I'm sure they're doing everything they can to better that but that's higher than I thought could be achieved.
So, keep Lowestoft clean and tidy - don't be tempted into a nocturnal journey down a country lane to dump your waste - get over to the Lowestoft Household Waste Recycling Centre on Hadenham Road. It's easy to find - it's on the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate, not far from Morrisons.
Site opening times:
April to September: 9am until 5pm - Monday to Saturday.
October to March: 9am until 4pm - Monday to Saturday.
Sundays and bank holidays 10am until 4pm all year round.
