Lowestoft's Charity Hero of the Year!

Since the tragic death of Lowestoft's Taylor High in 2011, his mother Elaine has worked tirelessly in his memory with the 'Taylor High Memorial Fund' which was given official charity status earlier this year.

The ultimate purpose of the charity is for local people to raise money for other local people in need. Indeed this was very much the case recently when the fund received £500 from the North Lowestoft Tesco store. Elaine and her team added a further £300 to this and awarded it to little Addie Hall, a local girl who has suffered a brain injury after a seizure.

Tesco's were delighted, particularly as Addie is a relative of one of their employees and they have now invited the volunteers of the 'Taylor High Memorial Fund' to carry out fundraising within the Lowestoft store from 29th November to 7th December. Manager and Community Champion for Tesco have commented that the team of volunteers are a joy to have in the store.

So, as you dash around making a start on your Christmas shopping, please spare a little of your change for this very worthy local cause. No one knows what fate holds for us in the future, and who knows, it might be your family who needs help one day...

In Elaine's own words...'A big thank you goes to you all for the help you give to Taylor High Memorial Fund....Taylor may not be here in person.. but his name lives on in Spirit... Love it.. Passing on his smile...'
