Here are some useful ideas for half term activities here in Lowestoft.

If the weather is mild (fingers crossed), a day out at Africa Alive is always a firm favourite.  Take a leisurely stroll around looking at all the animals.  Plan your day by taking a picnic and checking out the feeding times.  With an indoor and outdoor play area, the children will be amused all day.

The parks in Lowestoft are great and offer varying activities to suit your child's wants and needs.  Normanston Park - Children's play area, skate park and a cafe for refreshments.
Everitts Park - Offering a huge play area, a great cafe and a stroll along the broads.
Sparrows Nest - A small play area, plenty of room to run about and again a great place for a cup of tea and a snack.

Carlton Marshes always offering half term activities for you and your child.  One of which is building a bird box for you to take home, sounds like a fun family activity.

If the weather is looking grotty, Potters in Hopton offer bowl and swim - Get a family deal on a game of ten pin bowling and a swim.

If you and your children just want to bowl, the alternative is Lowestoft Family Bowl, with lots of bowling lanes and also a soft play activity area.

Sticking with the indoor activities, Lowestoft offers Rollers for roller skating at the Claremont Pier.  After building up an appetite, check out Nemo's restaurant for a light snack, a main meal or some good old fried chips.

East Coast Cinema in Lowestoft will be showing all the latest films, I'm sure there have already been requests coming your way from little ones.  I, myself will be watching Wreck-It Ralph at some point!

For more indoor fun Adventure Island soft play area, keeping children amused for hours and serving great food also.

Hope that helps in your quest to keep your children happy over the half term.
