Urgently Seeking Donations and volunteers
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) Lincoln is urgently appealing to local residents in Lincoln to search through their wardrobes and scour their homes for any unwanted, good quality clothing, handbags, shoes, books, DVDs, CDs and household goods – all of which will help the charity fight heart disease.
Last year BHF Shops rose over £31 million for the nation’s heart charity, helping thousands of vulnerable heart patients across the country. Donations, which are vital to the charity, are desperately needed. The Lincoln BHF Shop is also seeking volunteers and appealing to local people with any spare time on their hands to pop into the Shop or give them a call to find out more.
Niki Elliott BHF Manager says: “We absolutely rely on the support of the people of Lincoln to keep us running and without their vital donations of time and money, we risk reducing the care and support available to vulnerable heart patients.
“If each household were willing to spend just half an hour having a clear out and donating to their Lincoln BHF Shop, they would be helping to save lives, it really is as simple as that. We also have a wide range of volunteering opportunities available, so if you can spare any time at all, please do come in and see us. Please help us beat heart disease together and donate your unwanted items or time to your Lincoln BHF Shop.”
The Lincoln BHF shop has volunteering opportunities to suit everyone, including stock sorting and pricing, window dressing, sales assistant, books and music volunteer and much more. To find out more about volunteering at the Shop or to donate your unwanted quality items, please call into the shop or telephone the Shop on 01522568657.
