Lichfield antiques specialists have uncovered a Liverpudlian love story behind a Victorian wedding dress recently consigned for auction by a Derbyshire lady, the bride’s granddaughter. Married in Bootle in 1897, the couple later moved from Liverpool to Yorkshire, then to Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, and then to Stranraer, in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
