Join The Staffordshire Regiment Museum in Whittington, Lichfield, for a truly unique festive experience — A Wartime Christmas on Saturday 6th December, from 10am to 4pm.
This family-friendly event brings history to life with costumed re-enactors manning the WW1 trench and taking part in a heart-warming Christmas Truce and football match. Visitors can enjoy a fascinating WW2 Christmas dinner on rations display, explore festive stalls including Jolly Jars and Soldier Teddy, and take part in Christmas crafts for all ages.
Meet Father Christmas, Mother Christmas, and the Chief Elf in the Blitz Grotto, while the Tammy Land Girls spread festive cheer with live performances of seasonal songs. To end the day, everyone is invited to gather with the troops in the trenches to sing traditional Christmas carols – a fitting tribute to peace and remembrance.
Tickets are £10 for adults, £6 for under 16s, or £30 for a family ticket. There’s no need to book — just turn up and enjoy a day filled with history, music, and festive spirit.
