Alex & Family said about Lichfield Cathedral
We attended the U2 by candlelight last night. The venue is and was stunning, the concert on the other hand was a little lame (we’ve heard better karaoke) and we are unlikely to attend others, which was disappointing as the Beatles event previously held there was great. Also noteworthy whilst waiting for the concert to start we started to look at some of the items hanging on the walls and other displays in public areas (near queue for bar/refreshments) only for one of the/your abrasive volunteers to challenge then tell us the cathedral was closed and we could only sit and watch the concert. What’s interesting is a pleasant blonde haired lady kicked off the evening telling those congregated that the cathedral was for ‘all of us’, keeping that thought in mind you may want to remind all of your volunteers of that mantra as in practice it doesn’t feel that way. Such a shame. ☹️
