My Wife and I visited on 5th November 2026 for breakfast. I ordered the small breakfast and my Wife had scrambled eggs on toast. Additionally we ordered two coffees. the food was excellent and plentiful and we didn't have long to wait.
The layout is somewhat canteenish and the noise level is a little off-putting. Despite reading other comments about the waiting staff I found them to be, if not welcoming, businesslike.
I make only two comments. On the day the outside temperature was 9 degrees. The restaurant was a little chilly. I overheard two customers say on entry "it's cold in here."
The lavatories were pristine in all respects. On the lavatory door was a notice, quite rightly, requesting users not to flush sanitary products. However there was no bin provided to dispose of such material.
I'll try it again in the summer when the weather is a little warmer !
An exceptional dining experience from start to finish!
The food was simply outstanding! I genuinely couldn’t fault a single thing — every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavour and absolutely delicious.
The menu was fantastic, offering a brilliant variety of dishes, and the value for money was exceptional considering the quality of the food.
The service was a solid 10/10. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable.
A special mention must go to the head chef, who was absolutely fantastic. His passion for what he does is evident, not only in the exceptional standard of the food and his commitment to sourcing ingredients locally, but also in the genuine care he takes to ensure every guest has a wonderful experience.
It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers so brilliantly on food, service, atmosphere and value all at once.
An absolute gem of a restaurant, and somewhere I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We will most definitely be returning!
A good friendly and professional service from Lewis and James G when my furniture was picked up this morning in preparation for transportation to Spain.
Ms Evans treated me today concerning my left ear. She was most excellent and reassuring; confirmed infection had cleared with antibiotics, but also offered me the opportunity to check my hearing, which was also very reassuring. I am recommending Cathedral Hearing to all relatives, friends and colleagues, as I was extremely impressed with their amazing service. Many thanks, Laura - see you again for my next review :)
