Couldn’t recommend Claire highly enough, she has provided the most wonderful service for my wedding. She’s gone above and beyond altering the men’s suits, my dress and even coming to the rescue on the week of the wedding for my mum who had a mishap with the iron! Claire made the whole thing so personal and special, paying attention to every tiny detail. Thank you for making it such a lovely experience

Clare did a wonderful job of altering my wedding dress, she provided flexible appointments for me to fit around work and within plenty of time for the wedding. She is experienced, really welcoming and knows what's best for you and your dress.

Clare was amazing. She managed to book us in on short notice to get our bridesmaid dresses turned up and belts added onto the dresses. Clare was very professional and the contact we had with her was amazing. We will definitely be using her again in the future and definitely recommend her.

Clare is an incredibly talented human! I took my wedding dress to be altered after finding something snazzy off the peg on a whim, I wasn’t expecting much to be able to be done, but Clare pretty much remade it to perfection! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for alterations and dressmaking… fantastic services, thank you!

What a lovely person clare is, I had an 50s style swing dress that needed a new zip, she found a matching one and replaced it no issues.
Nothing is never to much trouble and it helps Clare is such a nice person to chat to.
Clare many years ago, helped me pick my wedding dress, but I don't think she remembers this as she was at another base in Lichfield.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Clare (The Village Dressmaker) for her skill and dedication as a seamstress. Over the years, she has carried out clothing alterations for both myself and my family, offering a first class service at a more than reasonable price!
I run my own local lawncare business and approached Clare recently to enquire if she would be able to make a repair to a knapsack sprayer harness that was otherwise scrap unless it could be repaired. Clare made an unbelievable repair to the harness at a modest price and it is perhaps stronger now than when I purchased it.
However, this lady should be commended most of all for her work during the Covid lockdown when she appealed to her local community for materials to make bags for NHS workers, taking no payment and using her own time and facilities.
She has also successfully set up her own local business network group which continues to thrive as well as promoting and supporting local businesses.
She is a great example of how to run a successful business and I hope that the Village Dressmaker continues to thrive!!
