We made an impromptu visit so had no idea what to expect. However, the calibre of the staff, the beautiful visitors centre and the stunning memorials left me feeling overwhelmed. Of special note was the Armed Forces Memorial which has to be seen to be appreciated. We were extremely lucky to have volunteer David Brown on hand, who with great knowledge and patience, explained the special significance and symbolism of the structure.
We will certainly be back.

We attended the Paws For Thought event here.
Off we went with a 6 month old baby and our dog .
The place is just so beautiful words cannot describe.
The staff are all lovely and keen to explain and answer any questions .
There are lots of toilets on route.
Beautiful cafe and shop.
Really is nothing not to like.
Everybody should pay this beautiful place.

A visit here makes you really appreciate the sacrifices of others so we can live as we do today. We arrived at 09:30 and left at 15:00. It is a full day if you want to appreciate the arboretum. Make sure you attend the chapel at 11am for the daily service it sets the day up for you. A word of warning many of the memorials or off the main paths so make sure you wear good boots as the ground gets boggy. You really do need a minimum of 4 hours is you want to see everything.

I visited on a cold wet February morning and expected just to see loads of memorials and grave stones. However I took a buggy tour and found out so much about the site that I need to go back in the summer to spend more time there. You will not get to find out the information by waking round on your own.
My guide was Mike who was knowledgable and easy going.
There is a large free car park and entry is free too. There is a cafe/restaurant and a gify shop.
It surpised me just how much there was to see.

We visited in the winter and it was so peacefull and calm. What a lovely place to have as a memorial park to all our fallen hero's..There is so much to see that we only had one hour (on a coach tip) would love to return in summer when tree's are out and it is not raining.Thought the map was a bit overpriced at £3 but all profit keeps the place going.

The National Memorial Arboretum is an amazing, thought provoking and moving place.
It’s a tribute to all people, from war hero’s, those killed wrongly in WW1 as deserters to scouts and guides, to children who are no longer here.

The ambulance, police and firmer service all have their own area, I was moved in many places along our journey around here.

Please come but leave yourself plenty of time, I would suggest 4 hours to walk around. They do guided walking tours, guided tours in golf carts and of course you can go around at your own pace.

The cafe is very nice but be warned it stops serving lunch after 2pm!!!!

Lovely place set out over a large area. Lots and lots of tributes and memorials to people who have fought around the world. Very moving . £3 to park all day. Lots of places to stop and sit as you walked round. Could easily spend half a day or more there depending on how much detail you want to go into. Cafe looked nice although seemed pricey so went into Lichfield instead.

My husband and I had been meaning to visit here for some time...we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were met with friendly and helpful people. Greeted at the door by David a friendly man who pointed us in the right direction and gave us an overview of the site. At the pay desk (it is free entry) the lady told us the options open to us. We chose a buggy tour at £5.00 each. Audio guides are also available. The buggy was wonderful. Blankets were made available for us on a crisp February day, and our guide Ian was able to answer all our questions and pointed out lots of the monuments and memorials. The tour lasted 50 mins and was well worth it. After the tour we had a drink in the lovely spacious and airy restaurant before having our own little wander around. We then headed to the central monument and was again met with a friendly informative volunteer who walked us around and told us everything we needed to know. ( sorry we don't know his name but does 2 days a week and lives in Solihull)
Everyone should visit this at some time in their life. We plan to return in the late spring when the flowers will be out and there will be an abundance of flowers and colour.
A must visit for all.

What a wonderful tribute to the men and women from around the world who have fought for the rights of the people. A tribute to the survivors and fitting memorial to those who never came home.
We took a guided tour (ride) around, which barely scratched the service. The memorials are incredible - they are sensitive and respectful and very thought provoking.
Beautifully laid out, and thought has gone into the plantings versus the memorials/countries which was a special touch.
A lovely gift shop - quality merchandise, somewhere to get that special sourvineer that has a lot of meaning.
Totally recommend a visit, allow at least half a day.

Free entry with a recommended £5 donation but no pressure to pay it.
£3 parking all day
Marvellous place to visit that improves constantly.
Volunteer staff cannot do enough for you.
The only moan would be that they need to sort out the drainage in areas.

The National Arboretum is very easy to find with £3 parking all day ,with free entry but of course nearly everyone makes a donation.

Incredible and beautiful tributes to the fallen who defended and fought for there countries with honour.Beautiful memorials and fantastic grounds .

You could spend a day here, and an auditory option is avaiable to you ,as is a small train thsts stops at certain points and a talk given.

Easy for the disabled to get around and this area is thought out well ,with electric wheelchairs made available.

Lovely café which does hot mesls, teas and cakes...although to be fair on the pricey side...but it all goes to the Arboretum.

It realy is a wonderful place to visit...emotional and moving.

Last there in December this place is a regular visit for me, a moving a fitting tribute to many organisations who have lost people in the cause of their duty. Brilliant memorials often very well thought out using materials from all over the world, the restaurant is light airy and large serving good quality food and coffee. The gift shop shouldn't be called a gift shop, its not full of your average plastic memorabilia, the the items are very high quality and it makes an excellent place to shop for Birthday or Christmas gifts. The site is a must visit for everyone. There is no entrance fee but all you spend goes to the upkeep

We visited the NMA with friends and found it a moving and sobering experience. The beautiful and haunting setting promotes contemplation of the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms and rights.

What an inspiring place to visit and reflect. Beautifully laid out, with more still to do. Not a fan of pre-stressed concrete for the public buildings, but that is a personal thing. A truly wonderful place, with the most helpful staff ever.

Visited with some friends from America. Plenty of tears shed by all. Our friends loved the feeling of peace and tranquility even though it was busy

I would highly recommend a visit here. There are 350 memorials over 150 acres, beautifully laid out and maintained, and friendly staff who are keen to help.

It could have been better. I am an electric wheelchair user, not a buggy and the main car park was showing full. We were directed to the overflow parking via signage. This car park is gravel based and it quickly started to drain my battery coping with it. When we eventually reached the main car park, we found many dozens of empty spaces and a set down area which we could have used. Not a great start to a day out.
If you have a gluten free dietary requirement, you'll feel like you're in 7th heaven with lots to choose from. Sandwiches, main meals and wonderful cakes !
The men's toilets are poorly sign posted in the main building, as when you stand in front of the signage, the men's are then behind you. Consequently many men were using the disabled toilets in desperation. Not ideal for waiting wheelchair users.

I believe that most people will get tearful and emotional at the latest wall sadly waiting for new engravings.

Very humbling but highly educational place to visit. The site is fantastic with all Arms and Services remembered with their own memorials. The grounds are immaculate and staff very willing to offer advice. The restaurant was very good and extremely reasonable priced with 2 main meals for £13. There is also transport buggys onsite for those with walking difficulties. A great tribute to the brave and fallen. A must visit!

This is the latest of a few visits to the Arboretum and still impressed. It is a beautiful site even on a cold day. Very moving to walk round and thought provoking . Hadn't seen the shot at dawn statue before and that was very touching. And then when you are cold and in need of sustenance the café really delivers. Whether its cake and tea or a meal you have a great choice of fresh food. Staff all very helpful and interested in being there.
