I wasn't expecting anything like what was there. It is an amazing area in memorial of all that have served. If you haven't been, you must go. Parking is £3 for the day. And it is a wonderful day out... rain or shine. All proceeds go to the royal British Legion.

This is a wonderful monument to those who have served in the Armed Forces. It is a must visit site so beautifully laid out and maintained to high standards. Commemorating the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. It was interesting to see how many young children were there learning of our history and the sacrifice of so many. A £3 car park for all day is the only charge, a good pair of walking shoes are essential, although I did see a lady in a wheelchair who was able to access most if not all of the monuments. A truly moving experience well worth seeing. I urge you to go and spend some time at this National Memorial.

Fantastic place to visit if you are following a family story or just on a day out. We visited on 11/11/2018 and old soldiers were there remembering lost friends with tears in their eyes.
Every theatre of war is represented and the main buildings are full of information.
Proud that we could do this to give a central point of focus for all. Our history is there and its not a crime to temember and commemorate.

Took my daughter to look at the poppy display in the Feild of Remembrance. Such a lovely tribute.
The arboretum is such a beautiful, well kept place.

Having read the diverse reports commentating on the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day,I should like to add my own Did the organizers of this event realize a much larger attendance figure would be the norm on such an historic occasion.
Did they not carry out a sound test at the Memorial the day before.and place more visual enhancements around the site of the Ceremony.
Who authorized a mobile burger van on a site of such dignity, this is not Glastonbury.
Why was the restaurant not more fully staffed, long queues meant hot food had cooled long before diners reached the cash machine.
My most significant complaint is the lack of organisation of the traffic/parking system. When we arrived at the Showground there was a queue of around 200 people for a shuttle bus.My brother in law,who has mobility problems, decided to walk as he did not wish to miss the Ceremony. After a few hundred yards, was unable to continue. We were stranded by the roadside as my husband had no chance of fetching our car,We were saved by a 'Good Samaritan' lady who turned her car around and offered him a lift.I accept that people had parked irresponsibly, and this was no fault of the Arboretum, but couldn't some other way to the venue have been made purely for the shuttle buses? I have awarded the Arboretum 5 stars because it is a unique place, the Field of Remembrance is a revelation to the Fallen, and I will return.Such a shame the unique occasion was not more helpful.

Visited here on the 13th November as part of a coach party, didn't quite know what to expect having visited a large number of WW1 battlefields but from our arrival onward we were made welcome, reception was the only wait we had as there was only one receptionist working but otherwise all good. The restaurant was very impressive with loads of choice and all reasonably priced. The train was well worth booking as it gave us a really good idea of what the arboretum is all about, in all a really moving experience. Our thanks to everyone for the help and respect shown to my Wife and myself.

You're going to need a whole day (or several repeat visits) to really appreciate the scale and poignancy of this place. I finished off at the monumental, central Armed Forces Memorial - it's a sobering structure which commemorates the lives of men and women who died serving their country. Seeing Lee Rigby's name caused me to take a sharp intake of breath. You can't help but stand and wonder.
