Very moving experience, the memorials are outstanding, there is a train or golf buggy to take you around if like me I can't walk very far there is a charge for either but well worth it. You can walk around if wish. Lovely gardens as well. Well worth a visit. Will be going back.

We took my in-laws, I didn't think I'd enjoy it. But I was pleasantly surprised, it was very emotional but not at all solemn. It as peaceful.and tranquil. It took us a full day to see everything but there is a land train at a small cost and there are manned buggys. The memorials are beautiful. The service held daily at 10:50am was lovely too. I'd definately reccomend it. The shop is expensive but all the money made goes back into the Arboretum so we didn't mind paying the extra.

A most moving tribute to all who or who have served in the armed forces. The picture shows the gap where a shaft of light falls on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, not to busy and plenty of park (£3). We decided to take the little train around (£6). This takes you around alot of the site but may of the memorials are hidden behind trees and you are not able to get off. So we needed to walk back around the entire route to see everything. Plus there was a large part the train did not go at the far end of the site. Cafe was very good and not expensive considering. But you are able to bring a packed lunch and sit outside.

Went there for the first time today. Will be going back. It was late when we got there so we only had a quick look. But we did get on the land train. £6 each with commentary. It gives you an idea of where you want to go for a better look.
It's £3 for parking all day and free to enter. There's a cafe but we didn't have time to go in. So can't tell you what it's like.
There's too much to see in one day.

Sadly we only had an hour to spend here on our way home from a wonderful few days in Shropshire. I certainly hadn’t anticipated such an emotional experience and could have spent the whole day here absorbing the tranquillity and beauty of the place. The chapel provides a peaceful place for thought and reflection .
On another note our heartfelt thanks go to Natalie who went to a lot of trouble to find and return to us our old faithful old flask which we abandoned I know not where !

We go a couple of times a year. There is a lot to see, space for a good walk, disabled access and a land train, excellent cafe and gift shop. The memorial wall is stunning, the landscaping and trees planting is becoming nicely established, the Burmese railway exhibition and shot at dawn memorial are both very moving. As are many other memorials. It's also a sculpture park, it has memorial gardens where you can just sit and interesting bird life along the river. All for the price of parking.
