Have wanted to visit this place for years. Beautiful designed and set out. Wonderful serenity and such an inspirational place for all those people and animals too who lost their lives through war, conflict and public service. You can't help but be moved by it. The memorial to those shot at dawn for desertion was extremely moving.

Lovely day here and I think I only scratched the surface. So many memorials, wooded walks and along the river. Dogs are welcome just not allowed in the main memorials. Play areas for children and a cafe.

A beautiful place to visit. Lots of walking to be done. Free entry and £4 parking. We'll worth a visit. Went with children age 9 and 11 and they enjoyed and understood what it was about.
