Pet Hydrotherapy in Lichfield

Hydrotherapy is delivered by qualified therapists and involves controlled physiotherapy and prescriptive exercise in water and is helpful for a wide range of conditions. Benefits include:

  • Increasing the range of movements in the joints
  • Helping muscle strength, maintenance and restoration
  • Decreasing pain
  • Decreasing stress on healing tissues
  • Improving cardiovascular fitness
  • Decreasing swelling and joint effusion
  • And much more!

An underwater treadmill also encourages a normal gait pattern and can be used to re-educate movement after injury to the spinal cord or nervous system.

If your pet has suffered an injury, illness or disease, Veterinary Physiotherapy can help to relieve pain, improve function, improve strength and balance and more.  Following the sessions, home treatment plans are implemented and pet owners are encouraged to practice remedial treatment techniques to maintain your pet’s rehabilitation.

Acupuncture is a great treatment and most useful in the treatment of chronic painful conditions.  Call the team today to find out if it could help your pet.
