He is a brilliant instructor, extremely patient with me, and never once got angry at a mistake. He is kind and funny and made learning to drive fun, I 100% recommend Andy to anyone looking to learn to drive.

I don’t even know where to begin! Andy is genuinely one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! From the moment I got into the car, on my first lesson, I felt at ease (even if I felt unbelievably anxious beforehand)! He always makes sure you feel comfortable before doing anything. He is patient, and offers endless reassurance, to help build your confidence. He knows how to make you smile, and giggle with his endless jokes. He just wants the best for you, and will do whatever he can, to make sure you’re ready, confident and brave. It doesn’t matter if you have to practice something once or 20 times, he’ll do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. Ironically, i’m upset to have passed my test, knowing I won’t be able to have my weekly lessons :( But happy to know Andy can help another lucky learner to drive. I cannot recommend him enough!

If you're looking for a super relaxed, friendly, funny driving instructor, then I cannot recommend Andy enough. I am gutted in a way that I have passed as I will really miss my lessons with Andy. At 39, I had resound myself to the fact that I was never going to be a driver, but as soon as I had a lesson with Andy, I knew that was not to be the case. He is so encouraging, patient, and always on hand with a dad joke or two if you're having an off day. As someone with dyslexia, I struggle to understand things sometimes, but Andy is great at explaining everything step by step and is happy to let you practice things over and over again until you get it. I cannot rate him highly enough.

From day one, Andy made driving more enjoyable as he was always patient and telling jokes to put me at ease. He was always willing to go over anything i was worried about which made me a lot more confident over time. i recently passed first time, this was equal parts of Andy’s great teaching skills but also his ability to keep me calm in any situation as he would review what mistakes i made so they could easily be fixed to improve my driving which obviously worked. i would definitely recommend Andy’s Driving School over any other as my overall experience has led me to enjoy driving with little stress

Andy is amazing! He‘s teaching/taught all of our 4 kids and has just helped our third to pass her test first time, after getting the first two through first time too. Just one left to go! Keep up the good work Andy! All of the kids had different levels of confidence, nervousness and belief in themselves and Andy adapted his style to each one - slowing one down, speeding the other up out of first gear nerves and keeping the other on a level! He’s made them laugh, love driving and develop a really responsible attitude to driving! We could not recommend anyone more highly, and are so grateful to him for all his support!

One of the nicest and most helpful people I’ve met. Andy is extremely friendly and makes driving fun to learn he helped me tremendously giving up weekends and his free time to help me pass I’ve loved the last year of learning with him he makes driving fun even when it’s not, wether it’s having a joke or a genuine conversation about our mutual love of the Albion. He always put in the extra effort to make you feel comfortable. He has great patients and always teaches with a smile. I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor and highly recommend him for anyone learning to drive.

Such a lovely guy whose thorough, detailed instructions and light chat make the lessons a joy to partake in. All the concepts are well explained and he guides you as you complete them.

I passed my test just over a week ago with andy as my driving instructor. It was my first test and i passed after only 4 months of learning! I was in a bad car accident just before i started to learn to drive myself but andy gave me lots of confidence on the road and im so grateful to have had such an amazing instructor! i always looked forward to my lessons and although its great i can drive anywhere i want whenever i want now, i definitely am missing my weekly lessons :) I have got so much freedom from being able to drive and its amazing! So thank you, andy :)

I’d highly recommend Andy to anyone. Every driving lesson I had I was excited for and thoroughly enjoyed. Andy has a great sense of humour and makes you feel at ease when behind the wheel. He took his time explaining things to me to make sure they were understood and answered a lot of my questions (even though a lot of them were daft). Overall Andy is a great instructor and I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor. 10/10

Andy is a brilliant driving instructor - he is patient, clear and detailed. He is easy going and makes everyone feel at ease and he is a great laugh. He taught me and my brother to learn to drive and we both passed first time - and he's booked up already for my other brother and sister. Would highly recommend to anyone learning to drive.

I'd like to start by saying, do not doubt choosing Andy as your driving instructor.
What a professional! He is calm, motivating, reassuring and has very high teaching standards.
I think I'm right to say this as I've had 3 different instructors over my learning period and Andy got the best out of me and passed first time with him.

Andy helped me pass very easily by giving me excellent advice and tips on how to pass my test. He is calm and helpful, and he cracks jokes every now and again which makes each drive very enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

I’ve struggled to write this because there is so much I could say about Andy. Andy loves his job and it really shows. He has made me love driving too. His enthusiasm for everything that he teaches is incredible. I’m quite a chatty person and can’t deal with silence and Andy could tell right away so we put the “tunes” on and went. There is never a dull moment when you in the car, whether we’re looking for ET or making sure that there’s not a dog that will run in the road, it’s a constant laugh. 90 minutes couldn’t feel shorter and there is no stress. He makes sure it’s your lesson and is totally open to changes and let’s you choose what you want to do. I’ve never had to sit in a traffic jam or be told how to drive by a book. If you have a question instead of explaining what would happen Andy let’s you do it and shows you what happens which is an amazing teaching style. I can’t say I enjoyed anything as much as I loved learning to drive with Andy. His stories are amazing and the jokes are even better. I couldn’t recommend Andy enough! Thank you so much!

Andy very kindly fitted my into his schedule for some refresher lessons and was kind enough to fit in around my schedule as much as he could. His relaxed and kind natured manner immediately put me at ease, though I was nervous about driving again after many years of not driving. He patiently went through everything and didn’t make assumptions about what I did or didn’t remember and went at a pace comfortable to me. He really helped me rebuild my confidence to drive again. I can’t imagine he’d ever shout. He likes to chat though, which I find helps me to feel more at ease driving. I would definitely recommend Andy if you feel nervous or apprehensive about driving, or even if you don’t!! Thank you Andy!

Andy has been such an amazing instructor, put me at ease in all my lessons with his jokes and in general his personality. I passed with 1 minor, first time and I wouldn’t have done this without the great efforts from Andy helping me prepare for my upcoming test, I can’t thank Andy enough and would recommend him to anybody wanting to learn to drive as he was great:)

Andy is just so great! From the first moment I spoke to him, I knew I’d found the instructor for me. Andy is warm, funny, caring, and so reassuring that it’s impossible not to feel at ease when he’s around. He has excellent stories and jokes, and I’d honestly be just as happy to sit and chat to him for 90 minutes. There is no time wasted in lessons; he doesn’t believe in making people sit in rush hour traffic or drive in endless circles around Boley Park Co-op car park, and definitely never sitting reading books when you should out on the roads! The way he talks with such pride about his other students you can tell he genuinely enjoys celebrating your achievements with you - even when you’re ecstatic at having barely driven 50 yards. His years of experience and excellent intuition help him get the best out of you in every lesson. He doesn’t make you do anything you don’t want to but somehow always manages to know exactly when you’re ready, meaning I left every lesson feeling like I'd really progressed. Thank you for everything Andy, I've thoroughly enjoyed our lessons and time spent together.

In life, there are some teachers that you'll never forget. Andy is definitely one of them. Having never driven before, I was reassured immediately by his friendly and kind attitude. He always makes sure to give praise where praise is due as, in his words, "there's not enough of it in the world". This set me up well from the start as I grew in confidence over each lesson, mastering the various routes (look out for the UK's smallest park in Burntwood!) and even managing to have a joke or two at the same time. Take the roadworks sign, for example, that looks like a man putting his umbrella up... You will soon feel comfortable learning with Andy as he brings alive the various manuals and books you look at, enhancing them with his own wealth of experience and gearing you up for test day - which I passed first time! Thank you so much, Andy. Lichfield is lucky to have a local instructor as brilliant as you.
