Representatives from EOS Energy's parent company, the Alumet Group recently shared their ideas and vision with the country's leading political minds at a Green Organisation reception in the House of Commons. Following the company's success in winning a prestigious Green Apple award in both 2010 and 2011 Alumet were honoured to state their case to 150 senior MPs, political advisors and industry specialists in the eloquent surroundings of Westminster.

Sustainability in the built environment is one of the most pressing issues within the housing and construction industry. Darren Gardner, Alumet's Business Development Manager addressed the impressive audience with a key note speech and challenged the politicians for clarification on various Government issues including the Feed in Tariff (FiT) and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), Gardner who is also chair of RETA (Renewable Energy Technology Alliance) explained that the Alumet Group had recruited 30 new members of staff in the last 12 months to front the company's diversification into renewable technologies via their EOS Energy brand and demanded that the Government acted fast to prevent job losses.

Richard Collins the national organiser of the Green Apple Awards said "With the government's sustainability agenda gathering pace, and the introduction of the Green Deal later this year, the country needs pro-active businesses like Alumet to lead the way in reducing carbon emissions. Alumet has done some great work in the area of sustainability over the years and it is right that their efforts are getting the recognition that they truly deserve"

David Blunkett was one of the Senior MPs in attendance and he was one of the first to congratulate Alumet's Chief Executive Gary Summers on a superb presentation.
