Chiltern Railways worked with the Friends of Leamington Station, Leamington's Town Council, Network Rail and the Railway Heritage Trust to update the booking hall, entrance, toilets and waiting rooms.
The finish includes teak and steel fittings and they've stripped back and restored the original Art Deco fireplaces. On the walls are some beautiful Art Deco posters for passengers and commuters to admire.
Leamington commuter, James Smith says "It sounds like they want to bring back the golden age of glamourous train travel!"
Future plans include a new cafe on platform 3 and further development of the station.
This project a true success and makes the station a true asset to our town; its well worth a visit.
