HS2 Consultation meetings across Warwickshire find out for your self
19th May 2011
... Comments

I've written a previous blog that discusses some of the misleading information that struck me when I went to the Greatworth Consultation event on 17th May and won't repeat it again here, but encourage you to check out that blog posting (link below), BUT more importantly, go to one of the local events and check out the information that the government is using to try to persuade everyone that this is a beneficial and financially viable project.

Many people, who have a far greater insight into the issues than me, have judged the case to be significantly flawed and at a time when budgets are being severely cut, affecting us all, it is hard to understand why the government is so cavalier in wishing to spend £17B + (much more when the cost of the extensions north of Birminghjam are added in) burdening future governments and our children with this massive cost/debt.

It seems to me all about politics rather than justifyable need.
